History Of Control Focus

Control Focus Limited (CFL) was founded as an industrial automation and controls company by James Hardisty of Dunedin, New Zealand, circa 2014. Since its founding, Control Focus has been contracted throughout New Zealand for exactly that and so much more. Its industrial automation backbone has led the company to branch out into solar technology, self-sustained living systems, electric vehicles, smart homes, battery management, and general electrics. The more challenging the project, the more keen we are to give it a go and expand our expertise!

Stu has been in the electrical field since 2003. John - The Apprentice

John has gained experience in every branch of electrical trade since his beginnings as a student in a pre-trade Otago Polytechnic course. He earned an impressive score of 93% in his electrical theory exam and has proven an asset to CFL.

Dave - Electronics Expert

Dave received his initial training as a radio engineer with the NZBC. As a result he has extensive experience with high and low power radio frequency and held the old limited electrical registration with no limits as to voltage or current. His time at regional television studios increased his knowledge and abilities to include analog and digital electronics to component level and transmission of signals to minimise noise. Daves time running a workshop at a university increased his abilities in precision measurement and control designing and building circuitry for special application. Temperature measurement is his specialty. He is also quite competent with microprocessors and opto electronics. He is our fitter and turner and machinist.
